Ingredients

Blondie Base Ingredients:

  • Flour: 1 cup
  • Baking powder: 1 tsp
  • Salt: ¼ tsp
  • Butter (melted): ½ cup
  • Brown sugar: 1 cup
  • Eggs: 2 large
  • Vanilla extract: 1 tsp

Cinnamon Swirl Ingredients:

  • Cinnamon: 1 tbsp
  • Brown sugar: ¼ cup
  • Butter (melted): 2 tbsp

Cream Cheese Frosting Ingredients:

  • Cream cheese (softened): 4 oz
  • Powdered sugar: 1 cup
  • Vanilla extract: ½ tsp

Instructions

  • Preheat & Prep:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease an 8×8-inch baking pan to prepare it for the blondies.
  • Mix Dry Ingredients:
In a medium bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
  • Combine Wet Ingredients:
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter and brown sugar until smooth.
Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until fully combined.
  • Create Batter:
Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture. Stir until just combined, ensuring not to overmix for a fudgy texture.
  • Layer Batter and Add Swirl:
    • Pour half of the blondie batter into the prepared pan and spread it evenly.
    • In a small bowl, mix the cinnamon, brown sugar, and melted butter for the swirl.
    • Dollop the cinnamon mixture over the batter in the pan and use a knife or skewer to swirl it gently.
  • Add Remaining Batter:
Pour the remaining blondie batter over the cinnamon swirl layer and spread it evenly.
  • Bake:
Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Prepare Frosting:
While the blondies cool, beat the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract in a bowl until smooth and creamy.
  • Cool, Frost, & Serve:
Allow the blondies to cool completely before spreading the frosting on top. Slice into squares and serve.
