Dragon Drink Starbucks

  • Author: Olivia Harper

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup mango juice
  • 1/4 cup white grape juice
  • 1/2 cup coconut milk
  • 1/4 cup frozen dragonfruit (pitaya) or 1 tablespoon dragonfruit powder
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons sugar (optional)
  • Ice cubes
  • Freeze-dried dragonfruit pieces for garnish (optional)

If you can’t find some of these ingredients, here are some substitutions:

  • Use pineapple juice instead of white grape juice
  • Replace dragonfruit with strawberries for a similar color
  • Use any plant-based milk instead of coconut milk

Instructions

1. Preparing the base

  1. In your blender, combine the mango juice, white grape juice, and water.
  2. Add the frozen dragonfruit or dragonfruit powder.
  3. If you’re using sugar, add it now.
  4. Blend these ingredients until smooth.

2. Adding the fruit and milk

  1. Pour the blended mixture into a large glass filled with ice cubes.
  2. Slowly add the coconut milk. Pour it over the back of a spoon to create a nice layered effect.
  3. If you have freeze-dried dragonfruit pieces, add them now for extra flavor and decoration.

3. Mixing and serving

  1. Use a straw or spoon to gently mix the drink.
  2. Your homemade Dragon Drink Starbucks is ready to enjoy!

Here are some helpful hints to make your Dragon Drink Starbucks even better:

  1. Use cold ingredients: Make sure your juices and coconut milk are cold before mixing. This helps keep the drink refreshing.
  2. Adjust sweetness: The original drink is quite sweet. You can add or reduce sugar based on your taste.
  3. Experiment with fruits: Try adding other fruits like strawberries or raspberries for different flavors.
  4. Ice matters: Use plenty of ice to keep the drink cold and refreshing.
  5. Shake it up: If you don’t have a blender, you can shake the ingredients in a sealed jar or cocktail shaker.

Notes

When making Dragon Drink Starbucks at home, remember that the exact flavor might be slightly different from the Starbucks version. This is because Starbucks uses a special mango dragonfruit refresher base that’s not available to the public. However, this homemade version comes very close and allows you to adjust the flavors to your liking.

Also, if you’re using fresh dragonfruit, be aware that it can stain clothes and surfaces. Be careful when handling it and clean up any spills quickly.
