Ingredients

  • Vanilla ice cream: 2 cups
  • Milk: 1/2 cup (adjust for consistency)
  • Fresh lemon juice: 2 tablespoons (about 1 lemon)
  • Lemon zest: 1 teaspoon
  • Graham crackers: 2, crushed (plus extra for garnish)
  • Sugar or honey: 1 tablespoon (optional, to taste)
  • Whipped cream: For topping
  • Lemon wedge or slice: For garnish

Instructions

  • Prepare Ingredients: Zest and juice the lemon. Crush the graham crackers into fine crumbs.
  • Blend the Milkshake:
    • In a blender, combine the vanilla ice cream, milk, lemon juice, lemon zest, and sugar/honey (if desired).
    • Blend until smooth and creamy. Add more milk for a thinner consistency or ice cream for a thicker shake.
  • Add Graham Cracker Crumbs: Sprinkle the crushed graham crackers into the blender. Pulse gently to mix without fully blending, maintaining a slight crunch.
  • Serve:
    • Pour the milkshake into tall glasses.
    • Top with whipped cream and a sprinkle of graham cracker crumbs.
    • Garnish with a lemon wedge or slice on the rim.
  • Enjoy: Serve immediately with a straw and spoon.

Notes

  • Customize the Sweetness: Taste the milkshake after blending and adjust the sweetness with more sugar, honey, or even a touch of agave syrup.
  • Dietary Adjustments: Swap vanilla ice cream and milk with dairy-free alternatives (like coconut or almond milk) for a vegan-friendly option.
  • Storage: If you have leftovers, store the milkshake in an airtight container in the freezer. Blend again or stir thoroughly before serving.
  • Enhancements: Add a dollop of lemon curd or a splash of limoncello for an extra layer of flavor.
  • Presentation Tip: Serve in frosted glasses for an elegant touch, or drizzle the inside of the glass with a swirl of lemon curd before pouring the shake.
