Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup strawberry juice or puree
  • 1/4 cup white grape juice
  • 1/2 cup coconut milk
  • 1/4 cup frozen strawberries
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons sugar (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon açaí powder (optional)
  • Ice cubes
  • Fresh or freeze-dried strawberries for garnish

If you can’t find some of these ingredients, here are some substitutions:

  • Use cranberry juice instead of white grape juice
  • Replace açaí powder with a mix of blueberry and pomegranate juice
  • Use any plant-based milk instead of coconut milk

Instructions

1. Preparing the base

  1. In your blender, combine the strawberry juice or puree, white grape juice, and water.
  2. Add the frozen strawberries and açaí powder (if using).
  3. If you’re using sugar, add it now.
  4. Blend these ingredients until smooth.

2. Adding the fruit and milk

  1. Pour the blended mixture into a large glass filled with ice cubes.
  2. Slowly add the coconut milk. Pour it over the back of a spoon to create a nice layered effect.
  3. Add fresh or freeze-dried strawberries for extra flavor and decoration.

3. Mixing and serving

  1. Use a straw or spoon to gently mix the drink.
  2. Your homemade pink drink is ready to enjoy!

Notes

When making a pink drink at home, remember that the exact flavor might be slightly different from the Starbucks version. This is because Starbucks uses a special strawberry açaí refresher base that’s not available to the public. However, this homemade version comes very close and allows you to adjust the flavors to your liking.

Also, be aware that the natural color of your drink may vary depending on the type and ripeness of the strawberries you use. Don’t be discouraged if your drink isn’t exactly the same shade of pink as the store-bought version – it will still be delicious!
