Ingredients

Scale
  • 46 tea bags (black, green, or herbal tea)
  • 4 cups water
  • 2 ripe peaches (or 1 cup peach nectar/concentrate)
  • 1/4 to 1/2 cup sugar (or honey, agave, or simple syrup, to taste)
  • Juice of 1 lemon (optional)
  • Fresh mint leaves (optional, for garnish)
  • Ice cubes
  • Optional: cinnamon stick, lemon slices, or edible flowers for garnish

Instructions

  • Prepare the Tea:
    • Hot Brew Method: Boil 4 cups of water. Once boiling, remove from heat and add the tea bags. Let the tea steep for 3-5 minutes, then remove the tea bags.
    • Cold Brew Method: Place the tea bags in 4 cups of cold water and refrigerate for 6-12 hours for a smoother, less acidic tea.
  • Make Peach Infusion:
    • Slice the peaches into small chunks and puree them in a blender. For a smoother texture, you can strain the puree to remove any pulp.
    • If using peach nectar or concentrate, simply add 1 cup of the nectar to the tea.
  • Sweeten the Tea:
    • Stir in your desired sweetener (sugar, honey, or agave) while the tea is still warm if you’re using the hot brew method.
    • For a natural sweetness, you can muddle a few peach slices directly in the glass before adding the tea.
  • Combine Peach and Tea:
    • Mix the peach puree (or peach nectar) with the brewed tea. Stir well to combine.
  • Chill the Tea:
    • Refrigerate the peach tea for about 2-3 hours (if using the hot brew method) or enjoy immediately if you’ve cold-brewed it.
  • Serve:
    • Fill glasses with ice cubes. Pour the chilled Iced Peach Tea over the ice.
    • Garnish with mint leaves, lemon slices, or a cinnamon stick for extra flavor.
  • Enjoy:
    • Refresh yourself with this sweet, cool, and fruity drink on a hot summer day.

Notes

  • You can adjust the sweetness by experimenting with different types of sweeteners like agave, honey, or even peach nectar.
  • For added flavor, try mixing in a few herbs like mint or lemon verbena.
  • If you prefer a smoother taste, cold brewing the tea will give it a less bitter flavor, perfect for summer.
  • Store the tea in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days for the best freshness.
