Ingredients

  • 1⅓ cups unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 cup frozen strawberries
  • 1 cup frozen peach slices
  • ½ cup reduced-fat plain Greek yogurt
  • ¼ cup pitted dark sweet cherries
  • 3 dried pitted dates
  • 2 tablespoons chia seeds

Instructions

  1. Add the almond milk to your blender first – this helps the blades move more easily when you start blending.
  2. Toss in the frozen strawberries, frozen peach slices, Greek yogurt, cherries, and dates.
  3. Add the chia seeds last so they don’t stick to the bottom of the blender.
  4. Blend everything for about 1 minute until the mixture looks smooth and creamy.
  5. Stop the blender and scrape down the sides if needed, then blend for another 15-30 seconds.
  6. Pour into two glasses and drink right away while it’s cold and fresh.

Notes

  • You can swap the almond milk for any plant-based milk you have on hand – oat milk makes it extra creamy. If you want it sweeter, add one more date or a drizzle of honey. For extra protein, throw in a scoop of vanilla protein powder.
  • I sometimes use fresh fruit instead of frozen, but then I add a handful of ice cubes to get that thick, cold texture. You can replace the cherries with blueberries or raspberries for a different flavor twist. If you don’t have Greek yogurt, regular yogurt works fine, but the smoothie won’t be quite as thick.
